Somatic & Insight-Oriented Therapy In Brea, CA & Online Across CA + AZ
For adults who are functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, self-critical, or disconnected inside.
Do You Feel Overwhelmed, Burned Out, or Stuck?
You’re functioning well on the outside—showing up, getting things done, taking care of others—but internally, you feel tense, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself. Maybe you've tried slowing down, doing self-care, or pushing through with more effort… but the stress, tension, and heaviness always find their way back.
Therapy can be the space where you can finally get to breathe, reflect, and build a life that feels less like survival and more like you.
If this sounds like what you’ve been needing, you’re in the right place.
When Being High-Functioning Starts to Feel Exhausting
For many people who identify as high-functioning, the pressure to stay capable, responsible, and on top of things can slowly become exhausting. What often looks like competence from the outside may feel very different internally.
Beneath that steady functioning, patterns like perfectionism and people-pleasing can begin to take shape. While these patterns often develop early on as ways of staying safe, connected, or valued, over time the constant self-monitoring, over-responsibility, and pressure to get things “right” can become draining.
For many people, these experiences don’t show up as one clear issue, but as a constant undercurrent. You might feel driven to do things “right,” responsible for keeping everything running smoothly, or caught in cycles of self-doubt and overthinking. Even when you try to slow down or step away, your system may still feel tense, restless, or on edge.
In therapy, we gently begin to make sense of how these patterns formed and how they’re supported by your nervous system. We also explore how they continue to shape your relationship with yourself and others. From there, we can begin creating more space for choice, self-trust, and a way of living that feels less driven by survival and more grounded in who you are.
If this resonates, we can start with a conversation and explore whether somatic, insight-oriented therapy would feel supportive for you. I offer counseling in person in Brea and online across California and Arizona.
Evidence-Based, Depth-Oriented Therapy for Adults in Brea & Online Across California + Arizona
Specialty areas
I offer somatic, insight-oriented therapy for adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions during young adulthood.
Somatic Therapy: Regulation + Body Awareness
Somatic therapy helps you work with anxiety and stress through the body—not just the mind. We’ll build nervous system awareness, increase regulation, and gently shift protective patterns so you feel more grounded, present, and steady in your daily life.
Young Adult Therapy: Identity, Transitions & Clarity
Life transitions during young adulthood can bring pressure, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Young adult therapy can support you in clarifying what you want, exploring your identify, finding your voice, and building self-trust as you move into your next chapter.
Anxiety Therapy: Calm, Ease & Tools for Everyday Life
Anxiety can look like racing thoughts, constant scanning, irritability, restlessness, or feeling perpetually behind. Anxiety therapy helps slow down the spiral, track what your body is signaling, and create more space for choice so overwhelm and worry no longer run the show.
Self-Esteem Therapy: Confidence, Self-Worth & Inner Trust
Self-esteem therapy helps unravel long-held patterns of self-doubt, comparison, perfectionism, and never feeling “good enough.” Together, we explore where these patterns began and rebuild a more grounded, confident, and compassionate sense of self.
Meet Jasmine Wilson, LCSW
Therapy that helps you slow down and get to the root
I specialize in working with adults who are high-functioning, deeply caring, and used to holding a lot—often at the expense of their own needs.
Therapy with me offers space to reconnect and shift emotional and behavioral patterns shaped by your past. Through somatic, nervous-system supported care, we focus on what’s happening beneath the surface—not just thoughts, but the protective patterns your body adapted over time.
If you’re looking for a therapeutic space where you can show up authentically and gently explore the parts of yourself you may have learned to override or disconnect from, I’d be honored to support you.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet you where you are, blending introspection, somatic awareness, and values-based work to support meaningful change at a pace that honors your capacity.
In our work, we’ll explore the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others, while building a more embodied sense of clarity, choice, and self-trust.
We’ll process what you’re experiencing through narrative, and we’ll also focus on integrating insights and taking small, intentional steps that support the life you want to build.
An Approach That Blends Somatic Awareness, Insight, and Values-Based Work
Together, we can move from survival mode into a life that feels more easeful and authentic.
